Even the Pros Struggle to Re-locate Moving Bass

Of all the problems bass tournament pros face, being forced to re-locate moving bass that have suddenly moved ranks among the hardest to solve, and it happens often this time of year during the transition from spring into summer. It happened recently to Yamaha Pro Greg Vinson, who after leading a Bassmaster® Elite event for two days, lost his fish the next day and fell to 23rd in the standings.

Monsoor Wins FLW Tour on Potomac River

amamoto Baits pro Tom Monsoor of La Crosse, Wisconsin, won the FLW Tour on the Potomac River presented by Costa Sunglasses Sunday after bringing a five-bass limit to the scale weighing 15 pounds, 2 ounces. Monsoor’s four-day cumulative total of 20 bass weighing 66 pounds, 11 ounces was enough to fend off second-place finisher pro Chad Warren of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, by 5 ounces. Monsoor earned $100,000 and his first career Tour victory.

MLF’s 12 Best of the Best compete in World Championship

The championship lineup reads like a “Who’s Who” list of professional bass anglers, consisting of Kevin VanDam, Mike Iaconelli, Greg Hackney, Edwin Evers, Boyd Duckett, Gary Klein, Tim Horton, Mark Davis, Aaron Martens, Jeff Kriet, Bobby Lane and Mike McClelland. They qualified according to final point standings accumulated from their participation in 2016 and 2017 MLF Cup events.
