Protecting your boat
« on: April 15, 2017, 10:25:56 AM »
We all know what it is like to keep a boat up and looking good.  I owned my last boat for 14 years and tried a bunch of different products on it.  Every time I heard of a new one I used it.  Some of the ones I remember are Restore and Bass Boat Saver along with Pledge, car wax etc.

The biggest problem I had was the necessity of frequently reapplying it.  Then I heard about Bow to Stern.  It sounded almost too good to be true.  No one in the area carried it so I had to order it direct.  I had a 8-10 year old boat at the time so I put on 3 coats over the period of a week.  After that all I had to do is wipe it down with a wet rag.  Then dry it if I chose.  That was way simpler than scrubbing with soap and water, rinsing, and drying.  Then having to reapply a product.  I put a new coat on once every month or so until I traded the boat in last July.

I am using it on my new boat.  I only put one coat on to start and have added a coat every few months.  The reason I am putting this in now is I just finished with a wet rag and towel.  The boat looks great so I'm going to put on another coat of BTS so she will be ready to be outside when I take my 2 week spring fishing trip.

If you're too busy to go fishin' you're too busy.

Yes that BTS is an awesome product.  It's easy to use and after initial all you need is that wet rag.
Everyone has to believe in something. I believe I'll go Fishin.

John is always cleaning his boat. I'm not sure what he uses on it but I know he spends as much time cleaning and polishing his boat as he does his Harley and Shelby. Me I just set and watch and tell him when he misses a spot.
Jig man hope you have a nice two week fishing trip. I know I can't wait to go on my fishing trip in about two weeks. Heck if John calls and says the Crappie are going Crazy I will jump on that train and be down there real fast. It's only a 3 hour train ride from my house. That's the nice thing about being retired  :D

I am not sure if anyone remembers but BTS was once one of our larger sponsors on the old site. I fell in love with their products even before they were one of our sponsors. BTS works great! If you spray your boat down with it it will also help keep a scum line from building up on your hull. Love the stuff.
