[Tennessee] Black Friday Tournament
« on: November 24, 2018, 12:12:23 PM »
Fished a Black Friday Tournament out of 25E ramp on Cherokee yesterday. Air temps 34*, water 51*-55* and just a light breeze at blast off.
Ran to first stop uplake. With only one bite, we decided to abandon that plan and head down lake. Ran to spot two and found a school of brown fish in a hole around the end of a rocky point. Managed two keepers on heavy metal and vertical fishing. The blue bird and wind kicked into full force by then. Ran down to spot three with only short fish. Ran to stop four with same result. Wind was terrible at this point. Decided to get off main lake and fished a deep water creek. Had some awesome bites on suspending jerkbaits, but they were just short. Hit four more stops coming back up lake with a few short fish. Weigh in was at 4pm, so we decided to spend last hour paralleling bluffs. We caught more fish the last hour than the entire day up to that point.
Ended up 7th out of 20 boats with 9.13 in four fish. Took 14.11 to win . We just ran out of time.

Good job guys!

Suspended Jerks and Lipless Crankbaits are a good lure of choice this time of year.
