Hi,
Just wondering if anyone has used Hellgramites baits for catching bass and if so how did you rig them ie: jig size
Cheers
Fred

We used to use them for creek smallies when I was a kid.  We would catch them and just put them on an unweighted hook.  I didn't even know what a jig was back then.

Not sure about the lures but the real things sure do catch fish of all kinds. Catfish..bass and just about anything else out there.

Years ago we used them in the Susquehanna River in Pennsylvania for Smaller Mouth Bass. They sure loved them !

This is a Case hellgrammite we use on the Roanoke, James and New Rivers. It usually produces on a split shot rig or a small jig like a 1/4 oz. lead head.
Rig the plastic through the front and out the top of the head.
