General Bass Fishing Discussion - Fishinpedia / Good Times
« Last post by Coldbasser on Today at 08:50:17 PM »
I just had the privilege & pleasure of having Big Fish JB Waller come up to Canada for a great fishing adventure. Joe is a wealth of information and has a lot of patience when explaining & teaching techniques of bass fishing. We fished a small club derby & Big Fish did exactly that he landed a 4.84 Smallie that won the big fish $. He promptly said we could use it towards continuing our fishing adventure. I have a lot of baits that I have not used but Joe took the time to explain & show me how to use them. He also brought zoom baits that I had never used but will now. K9 fluorocarbon line is another great thing that Joe brought with him and left for me to use & it is supple with very little memory. Joe Waller was a gentleman that my wife Kim & both my sons were happy to have met & some great conversations were enjoyed. I am also going to use my baitcaster so more often & my spinning rods a little less again thanks to the teachings of Joe. I must have seemed to be a real greenhorn to Joe but the in person tips are priceless.
We had a blast fishing & I learned a ton.
I want to say publicly here on this forum THANK YOU JOE.
Sincerely
Frederick (Rick) Loeb

Afternoon, hope all is well.

Hot and humid today. The weekend was absolutely perfect. Got a lot done around the house as well as watching my son's baseball games.

The site does appear to have stalled. It's a shame, we have some good members here and I looked forward to the interaction.

Take care

Morning all. Looks like we're in for some hot days here. Might hit high 90's today. Hope all are safe and have a great day.

Hope all had a great Father's Day Weekend. I did so, it started with  a win in my club's tournament on Saturday. Missed big bass by .03. Still it was a great day on the water. The bag was small @ 4.69# for 4 lmb, still good for 1st place. lol

looks like this site is in or going into limbo. Hope it makes it through these tough times. We'll have to wait and see. Hang in there all.

Good morning everyone, looks like it’s going to be a cloudy day today. I hope everyone has a great day and tight lines to those on the water.

Afternoon. Yes it's seems dormant. Mostly since Jared's Mom's had some health issues. Jared's been there first as he should be. Hopefully we'll be back on track again.
Hope all have a great start to the week and do be safe.

Morning all, hope all is well. Another beauty of a day here in the Boston area. Another game tonight and last regular season game is on Friday. Playoffs shortly after.
I agree ski, I know I haven't been contributing a lot either, but I hope to once the Baseball season is over.

Lure Talk - Fishinpedia / Fin S Fish did great with a weedless hook
« Last post by SENKOSAM on June 12, 2018, 05:55:31 AM »
I fished a Fin S Fish (Lunker City) in my pond two days ago and immediately caught a crappie and a bass. Since the pond is weedy, I knew that a weedless hook would be the best way to go, so I attached a wire weed guard. Fish ate the lure anyway.

But one thing that I did different yesterday was rig the barb so that it came out the bottom rather than the top of the bait. The action was better and the lure didn't go up on its side nearly as much.

All told, a dozen bass was caught on the Fin S in heavy weeds near shore, in open water weeds, under branches along a steep shoreline and in the branches of a fallen tree.

I don't know what got into me breaking out the 4" Fin S lures after over 15 years not using them, but it may have something to do with me trying the 2.5" size Fin S on a light jighead along with many other small lure designs.

Afternoon all. I see the site is kinda dormant now. I'm still in baseball mode, this week is almost everyday and double headers on the weekend.

I hope you all are doing well and hope your fishing season has been friendly to you. I don't even have a license yet, haven't even thought about fishing. Hoping to get back into it so I can contribute here again.

Take care.
