new designs and mods worked great!
« on: October 26, 2017, 04:17:54 AM »
Last few days I've been fishing a county lake, 62 degrees and turbid from a recent rain.
Weather and water pretty much ideal: some sun but mostly cloudy, water 62 degrees after 1/2" of rain and calm to breezy. I have been meaning to try a few designs hanging around in the basement for a few months but never chose them. Here are a few:

...shortened:

From 1:30pm - sunset.

The two legged creature worked first cast and caught three bass in the area near shore. It then caught crappie, perch and sunfish before getting destroyed. Gotta make more!

Most caught four species in various parts of the lake: deep, shallow, steep drops, open water, close to shore, flats.  51 fish total.

Variety is the spice of fishing.

I wish I could see the images my friend.

I checked the code and i see where they are suppose to be but it looks like perhaps you copied and pasted the images from elsewhere as there is a lot of erroneous code behind your post.  Generally pasting wont work. You may see the images when you first paste but the sites backend will not decipher a lot of the code for security reasons.

The best way is to attach the images or to use a photo sharing site and get the sharing link from there.

Funny that I see all of them. Guess I'll have to upload the pics from the folder on my desk top. Let's try some and tell me if they appear.

I see the ones you just posted.

You most likely saw the other images because only you are able to see the local view of them.

I love the wacky rig design displayed in the 3rd image down. Is that one of your own creations Frank?

Jared, I see how it would seem the lure to be wacky rigged, but the legs are attached to a grub body and rigged on a light jighead. Remember the hand pour in the picture? It came directly from the aluminum injection mold.

All I did was attach two of the thin legs to a grub body and rigged it on a 1/32 oz jig head. Bass and panfish clobbered it under tree branches and on shallow flats adjacent to deeper water. I made more today using another method to attach the legs and would have used it today but the for the cold front that put the only active fish in open water.

Note: strange for me:  Two days ago fish were striking in many areas - including close to steep bank and in open water. But today the best bite was in open water from 6-8' deep. Water temp went down since a few days before by 6 degrees, which may have accounted for light strikes in shallow areas but more aggressive hits in deep water. It was cool seeing fish beneath the stern transducer in 7' and catching some vertical jigging small grubs. 51 fish a few days ago/ 28 fish today - both limited to three hours on the water before the early sunset.
