Some lures are associated with my first fish caught,On Greenwood Lake , the New York side, off the old 17 bridge, next to where Brickners landing was.
#7 Rapala in Gold/black, for some reason I stopped using them years ago, as I drifted from lighter rigs
'then there is the Jitterbug, still my favorite nite topwaterm in any color of black
Square bills, especially the older Bagleys
Until I found Manns Jelly worms and Zoom Trick worms, and it was on
Some baits I like for nostalgia, most for mindless effectiveness
I like to catch a few fish per hour, size nor weight are not an issue for me I dont even have a scale or ruler
I rarely target fish other than Bass. When I was still on the East Coast, salt water summer meant Huge Blue Fish and Stripers ,no skill needed just the Skipper of the Betty W
So I like to use the baits that I have gained confidence in and produce numbers not size of fish
