Hello all who are still members of Fishinpedia.
As many of you know, I had to step away a few years back so I could take care of Mom. Mom became disabled and bed bound and was unable to do anything for herself so I stepped up and became her 24/7 365 caregiver. The last 3 years were the most intense as I made it my priority to keep her happy and healthy. I never took a day off. Mom stayed happy and healthy until her passing on Monday May 25th 2020 from complications from a simple routine while in the hospital.
It's been a rough few weeks for me as Mom was my best friend and my world revolved around her these last several years. Her passing was very unexpected and i have been fighting with a lot of emotions these last 4 weeks. My only purpose for years was taking care of Mom. It took me a while to try to figure out how to find purpose again but thanks to many great friends and family, I am slowly picking up the pieces and moving on.
Today I actually paid the taxes on my Triton so I can get it registered again.
The other day I made an order from
Tackle Warehouse which was the first order I have made in years. The week before I caught my first keeper bass since 2015 and it felt GREAT!
I have kept this site running and paid the server fees month after month because I was never intending to shut this down. I knew one day I would be able to return and continue my work on making new and improved Bassholes site. I have a lot of rust to shake off, as far as design and administrating, but Im sure that will be no problem once i get back to work.
I appreciate the few of you who I see posting still here. You guys are great folks! I promise to not make your efforts to keep this site alive a wasted effort.
Before I had to put my efforts on this site on hold I came up with great new ideas for our chat room. I have every intention of bringing that to life. It will be the BEST chat room we have had to date. Wait until you hear how simple it is! My eventual plan is to start up weekly chats again. I still have all the merchandise that advertisers sent me before I had to step away.. products like Rod Glove, Piscifun reels, X Zone lures, Flat Rock Creek Baits and many others, including an RPM Custom Rod that has been sitting in its plastic sleeve in a closet for years! All these items will be used for contests and give-a-ways.
My first project will be to go over this site with a fine tooth comb and get all the software and code updated. That will take a little time but its priority so that when traffic picks up again the site wont disappoint fellow bassholes.
I hope this reaches a few of you out there and I get to hear from you again.
