Such a Shame

We're getting into a new fishing season and on 3 members are active on this site. I wish there was a way to get word out to our membership, it'd be nice to share our stories and experiences with one another.

I agree Jigfishin10. I see Jared posting on Face Book at times. He's having a tough time taking care of his Mom and his own health too. When he sold the old site and moved to NY. He started this site and after awhile it slowed down to just us few. I keep hopeing the rest of the gang will show up. I have seen a couple of them from time to time. I have seen some of the gang on Face Book too.
Don't know what to say.
Everyone has to believe in something. I believe I'll go Fishin.

Not a day goes by that I dont wish I could do more fishing and get back into the site full time, full speed ahead. I think one day it will happen. That is my goal. It may take a lot of effort to get it active again but I will be up to the task when its time.

As it is now, my boat hasnt been in the water since fall of 2015. It wont start anymore. I assume its just crud in the lines/carbs. Once this law suit of ours is over (which may be April 9th as we are going to mediation then) I will be able to get it fixed and running again...  tho that still does not mean I can get out fishing with it yet.
Moms been doing a bit better lately.  Dementia/Alzheimers has a firm grip on her. She cant speak other than a few words here and there and its usually a surprise when that happens. Ever since teh EMTs broke her hip in Nov 2017 she has not walked. She will never walk again unfortunately. Despite all  that, I can still get her to smile and laugh and to me thats what matters most.

I think if we can get past this law suit and I get the money to put some more assets in place for Mom, things will look a bit better and I may even be able to get out, at least on the local lake, to do some fishing.  Hell about now I would settle for a blow up raft in a pond so my boat in the 5000 acres Lake Robinson would be heaven. Santee Cooper, Cooper River, Wateree and Lake Murray will have to wait.

I keep thinking that even though I am not fishing, there are things i can do on the site... but then part of me feels like I would be a hypocrite talking about fishing and trying to write articles and posts with advice when I haven't wet a link in about a year.

If I can find the time, I still have all the pros (from A - Z) phones numbers and I often think about calling them up to interview and get content for us.

I guess what it all boils down to is that, my dreams and goals for this site still remain alive and one day will once again be given the focus it deserves.

I thank all of you who still visit regularly. I thank you all from the bottom of my heart.

and PS i cant help but think lately, if all the politics and divisiveness on Facebook keeps up, people may once again realize the value of a moderated and well maintained forum once again. A guy can hope right?
:)
